Finally made it, it was on my list, and it was very nice indeed! It was considered "common", but didn't matter to me, it was good!We were supposed to go all the way to Manhatten - just for a hotdog, so when I saw this one on our route to food shopping, I said - pull in, this'll do me - all the big city things like the Empire State, Statue of liberty etc, I can Google all that and get better pictures anyway, with much less risk of getting attacked! Yes, there were 2 other things on my list and I did one of thembut here is the proof of my getting on with hot dogs....! Interestingly enough, in this land of fast food, the hot dog stands (at least this one) was/were popular, we stood by the car eating our doggy and the queue never reduced!
From there, but later, we went on to the last but one on my list.......Bagels!
I'm sorry but you can keep these inedible things!
I should have known really, here is a simple fact -
"A bagel (also spelled beigel)[1] is a bread product, traditionally shaped by hand into the form of a ring from yeasted wheat dough, roughly hand-sized, which is first boiled for a short time in water and then baked.[2] The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior"
For someone like myself, the dense, chewy, doughy interior is about the worst thing I could have - intestinally a ruin.....!
I didn't even take a picture, I just put the bit in my mouth and then tenderly spat it into the dustbin - not even the ants wanted to know........!
So..........to finish off, maybe "the cheesecake factory", if we can find one locally - exactly the opposite to Bagels - melts in the mouth, but we'll see......

but the nearest is quite a way - maybe we'll find one on our road to Baltimore next weekend to meet up with my beautiful niece.....!
